Why measure scope is the form of the monocular type?

The monocular type microscope like a measure scope can observe a work superficially. For the measurement, inspection, alignment and positioning with use of eyepiece micrometer (scale glass) can be work exactly without the image of overlapping or blurring.
Since the binocular microscope can observe a work in three dimensions, it is suitable for the visual examination, but it is unsuitable for the use incorporating an eyepiece micrometer.
Therefore, measure scope is the monocular type.
